Size reduction into tire chips
The first stage in the process is the cutting up of the used tires by means of a double shaft shredder (LION type) which cuts the tires to the required size (50×50 mm for energy recovery or 150×150 mm for material recovery) with capacities higher than 10t/h. The durating of the blades is 5,000 t and they can be sharpened twice.
The space between the blades is constantly cleaned by a scraper situated in the lower part of the drums, ensuring efficient energy consumption, around 10 kW/t. The module is completed with a sieve, which ensures the desired size by re-circulating the largest to the crusher, and a transportation system to store the cut up pieces in cells or take them in a dispenser for the next stage.
